Alfonso Ribeiro is an American actor, singer, television show host and dancer. He’s best know for his role of “Carlton Banks” on NBC’s The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He was born on September 21, 1971 in Bronx, New York. He attended California State University in Los Angeles.

Ribeiro made his acting debut at the age of eight on the PBS show “Oye Willie”. He went on to play the lead role in the Broadway musical, The Tap Dance Kid. In 1984, he appeared alongside Michael Jackson in a Pepsi commercial. He played “Alfonso Spears” on the NBC sitcom, Silver Spoon from 1984-87. He’s hosted various television programs including ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’, ‘Catch 21’ and ‘Spell-Mageddon’. He’s competed and won ‘Celebrity Duets’ in 2006 followed by ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in 2014.
