BOISE, IDAHO (CBS2) — Boise Fire crews responded to a rescue after a vehicle slid off an embankment near milepost 10.5 on Bogus Basin Rd Friday afternoon.
According to The Boise Fire Department snow and steep terrain made the rescue challenging. Crews were lowered 100 yards down the steep hillside to the wrecked vehicle.
Crews were able to remove the driver from the vehicle and bring him up to the road where he was then transported to a local hospital.
In a social media post, Boise Fire thanked Bogus Basin Ski Patrol.
"We want to send our thanks to the two members from Bogus Basin Ski Patrol for being instrumental in assessing the patient before crews arrived while also coordinating information to ISP and our crews, allowing for a quick and efficient response."
